LifeSpan Fitness TR200 Fold-N-Store Compact Treadmill Review

The LifeSpan Fitness TR200 is an economical, portable, simple walking treadmill. This treadmill can easily collapse to fit behind a door, stand in a closet, or be placed under a bed. It also comes fully assembled and ready for use within minutes, right out the box. Although The LifeSpan Fitness TR200 is a fairly inexpensive treadmill, it includes some features that you tend to find in higher priced treadmills.

The LifeSpan Fitness TR200 comes with an LCD console that tracks your time, calories, steps, distance, heart rate, and incline. This makes it very easy to track your workout progress by viewing the program profile and readouts. The console even offers 6 exercise programs to make your workouts more effective, which can be extremely important for those trying to get in shape.

The LifeSpan Fitness TR200 even offers a few things that other compact treadmills on the market like the Horizon Evolve do not. The LifeSpan Fitness TR200 offers 10 levels of incline and higher speed limits of up to 8 mph. The incline and speed buttons come in handy. The console display has options on each side to skip directly to incline levels of 4, 6, 8, or 10 or 3, 4, 5, 6 mph. Although the belt on the Lifespan Fitness TR200 is slightly longer than competing treadmills like the Horizon Evolve, it is still extremely smaller than standard treadmills.

The reviews on Amazon are very positive, with 61% of the reviewers giving the treadmill 5 stars. Most consumers think that buying the LifeSpan TR200 was an overall great purchase for a motorized compact walking treadmill. The most notable complaint among reviewers was the slight rubber odor that arises after about a month or so of using the treadmill, for about 3-4 times a week for 20 to 30 minutes each day. Some consumers have purchased lubricant for the treadmill to try to prevent the odor. Others who didn’t think using the lubricant was effective, have discovered that if you pull up the blue lever on the hood and leave it up while walking, this allows for a little more airflow, and in turns helps with the odor. Although it doesn’t eliminate the odor all together, you will notice that it isn’t as bad and it doesn’t start until about 45 minutes after walking versus 25 minutes.

It should be noted that this treadmill is not designed to take the abuse that comes from running as it does not have the cushioning or deck strength for it. It is solely designed for light use walking in small workout spaces. In addition, the size of the belt and motor along with the construction of the deck, limit it to users who are not excessively overweight or tall.

You can find the LifeSpan Fitness TR200 treadmill on Amazon for about $700.
